Course Details

This course provides students with the opportunity to study all three science disciplines in greater depth. It helps to develop their interest in, and enthusiasm for, science, whilst simultaneously developing a critical approach to scientific evidence and methods. It also allows students to acquire and apply skills, knowledge and understanding of how science works and its essential role in society as well as developing the scientific skills, knowledge and understanding necessary for progression to further learning.
 

Entry Requirements

The depth of knowledge and understanding of the content for this course along with the pace at which the work will be covered does mean that suitable candidates will be identified by the department. Students must be achieving a level 7 or a high attainment Level 6 at Key Stage 3 in both teacher and end of key stage assessment.
